Why This Matters
Android’s battery optimization settings help extend battery life by limiting background activity. However, in certain cases they may interfere with how apps like Rylo receive calls. To ensure you never miss an important conversation, follow the steps below to turn off battery optimization for the Rylo app.
Method 1: Through Battery Optimization Settings (Newer Samsung Models)
This prevents Samsung from putting the app to sleep in the background.
Open your phone’s Settings app
Tap Battery
Tap Background app limits
Tap Never Sleeping apps
Tap the + (plus) icon
Find and select Rylo
Tap Add
Result: Rylo will now be excluded from battery-saving restrictions.
Method 2: Through “Device Care”
This ensures Android doesn’t limit Rylo’s background activity. This method works across most Android phones.
Open your phone’s Settings app
Tap Device care (or Battery and device care on newer models)
Tap Battery
Tap More battery settings
Tap Optimize battery usage
Tap the dropdown menu and select All apps
Find Rylo in the list and toggle it off
Method 3: Disable Optimization via App Settings (For Older Phones)
Open your phone’s Settings app
Scroll down and tap Apps
Find and tap Rylo from the list of apps
Tap Battery
Toggle off Optimize battery usage
