Connect Google Calendar and Rylo Desktop will give you a heads-up shortly before your meetings start. It can also start captions automatically, so you're ready the moment you join.
How to connect
Go to Settings → Calendar and click Connect. Sign in to Google and allow calendar access.
Rylo Desktop only reads upcoming event details: the title, time, and meeting link. It never edits your calendar or reads past events.
What you'll see
About a minute before a meeting starts, a small card appears with the meeting title, a countdown, and the app it's likely in (Zoom, Teams, Webex, or "Conference link").
If you dismiss it, it won't come back for that meeting, even if the meeting is rescheduled.
Does it join calls for me?
No. Rylo Desktop never joins a meeting for you. The heads-up only gets it ready to start captions as soon as you join.
If your computer wakes up from sleep well after a meeting started, Rylo Desktop won't try to start captions for a meeting that's likely over.
Which calendars work?
Google Calendar for now. Apple Calendar and Outlook support is on our roadmap.
Disconnecting
Go to Settings → Calendar and click Disconnect. Rylo Desktop stops syncing right away and forgets your calendar.
